Pedestrian street in The Hague

Pedestrians fill a shopping street in The Hague, in The Netherlands. The Hague has one of the largest pedestrianized areas in Europe. This street is wide enough to have bicycle lanes down the middle, designated by a different color pavement. Bicycling is common in The Netherlands, so bicyclists and pedestrians know how to look out for each other.
