International Walk to School Day in Lakewood, Ohio.
Students at Franklin Elementary School in Lakewood, Ohio, assemble after walking to school. Each of the town's ten elementary schools participated in Walk To School Day. Interest in pedestrian safety was sparked by the death of a child, run over by a driver who did not take adequate care backing across a sidewalk.
