The Targeted Crosswalk Enforcement Detail, also know as the Crosswalk Sting, is one of the most effective law enforcement tools for pedestrian safety. At this crosswalk in Silver Spring, Maryland, a police officer in an orange t-shirt is the decoy pedestrian. The car speeding by him will be pulled over by uniformed officers at the next corner and ticketed.
