Perils for Pedestrians Episode 120

 Cooper River Bridge
A runner crosses the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston, SC. The bicycle and pedestrian path was included after a public campaign to lobby SCDOT. Without the show of public support, bicyclists and pedestrians might have been excluded from the bridge, forcing them to make a 60 mile detour to cross the river.

Topics in Episode 120:

  • The pedestrian and bicycle coordinator for Durham, NC.

  • The Triangle Transit Authority in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, NC.

  • The Cooper River Bridge in Charleston, SC.
